The Sunpal BESS 1MW 3.2MWh Hybrid Grid System integrates advanced energy storage, power conversion, and management technologies. Featuring scalable LiFePO4 battery modules, high-efficiency inverters, and a customizable EMS, this modular 1MW 3.2MWh energy storage system provides reliable, efficient, and flexible power solutions for various applications. It enables peak shaving, load balancing, and optimized energy usage, making it ideal for large-scale energy storage, renewable integration, and microgrid systems. The system can be configured for both behind-the-meter (BTM) battery storage for C&I applications and front-of-the-meter (FTM) grid-scale battery storage. Behind-the-meter storage is installed on the customer side of the meter at commercial and industrial (C&I) sites, where it can support peak shaving, demand charge reduction, and emergency backup power. Front-of-the-meter storage connects directly to the transmission or distribution grid and can support functions such as frequency regulation, black start capability, and large-scale renewable energy integration. Depending on project requirements, the system can also use AC-coupled or DC-coupled configurations. An AC-coupled setup connects the battery to the AC grid through a dedicated bidirectional power conversion system (PCS), making it suitable for adding energy storage to existing solar installations. A DC-coupled configuration connects the solar PV system and battery storage on the DC side, which can reduce conversion steps and improve overall energy conversion efficiency.
